Just returned from the Ralph Lauren home sale at the Altman Building in Chelsea and it was mindblowing. Besides all the Ralph Lauren fashion freaks (like me) and the nasty Upper East Side ladies in fur coats, there was an incredible selection of antique furniture, pillows, books, fabrics, rugs and home furnishings.
If you're in the know (like me), there's a also a corner in the back with a couple of racks of vintage clothes that the Ralph people used for "inspiration" and some assorted jewelry (lots of silver and turquoise). Got a fab Harris Tweed jacket that fits perfectly at a fraction of what it would cost at Orvis.
Not to be missed!
