
It really sticks in my craw (grandpa used to say that) when I see products like this that take advantage of a basic lack of customer knowledge. Basic white canvas tote bags like this have been around for years (thanks, LL Bean) and this particular style can be found at most art supply stores, intended to haul around paints and canvases.
The designers at the otherwise great style blog A Continuous Lean took a standard painter's tote, added a rugged zipper, some screenprint to the inside and a hefty price tag of $145. The Duluth Trading Co version comes in the same rugged canvas with a riveted bottom and open top for $22.50. I'm sure you have a lot of thinking to do before making your purchase.
