I'm not one to toot my own horn or use this blog for tremendous financial gain, but when I make an amazing thrift score and list it on eBay, I want to make sure my faithful readers know about it.
A really stylish guy must have passed away recently, judging from the incredible finds I've brought home from my neighborhood Salvation Army. In addition to a Crombie of England herringbone coat (sorry, I'm keeping that), I ended up with a mountain of about 50 preppy ties. Ranging from 1960's black label Brooks Brothers (like the ones seen here) in Repp stripes, straight end bow ties and silk and wool knits, to YSL and Pierre Cardin during their heyday.
