SAVING UP FOR There are certain fashion finds that are neither must-haves or bargains. They are usually very expensive and go on my mental "if" list. I.e. "If I win the lottery," "If I pay off my credit card," "If my apartment is robbed and I have nothing to wear." The new Ralph Lauren leather stable coat is now at the top of that list.
The design calls to mind a classic Barbour coat-- snap and zip front, multiple chest pockets, corduroy collar, reinforced shoulders. All tailored in supple leather that will look better as the years pass.
I may never actually own one, but I know I would look great in it.
