THE CLASSICS When I bought my Rolex over a decade ago, I made a sensible choice and got a stainless Datejust with oyster bracelet. I'll wear it for the rest of my life and at some point it will be handed down to one of my nephews (hopefully not for many years to come).
It's a good thing I chose my Rolex before J. Crew started their offering of reconditioned vintage Datejust and Air King timepieces with painted dials. I'm gaga for the yellow dial shown here and the price is less than what I paid for a new watch 10 years ago.
