LADY PREPSTER Bernardo is one of those labels you might see at a thrift store or in the back of Grandma's closet and not really know what its all about. FYI, there was a real guy named Bernardo from Italy who made fine shoes for women back in the 60's and was often featured on the pages of high fashion magazines. His Miami sandal was a big deal and I'll bet you could still find a few flip-flopping around the country club pool.
For Fall, Bernardo has been invigorated with some modern prep style, with great little moccasins and these fantastic desert boots. Like the boots made for guys, the Bernardo boot has a crepe rubber sole, cotton lacing and the same tailoring in leather and suede. They're taken a step further with giraffe and leopard print ponyhair, snakeskin, sherpa lining and, my favorite--the high-gloss black patent leather, the perfect combo of rustic and refined. Order now, they're selling out!
