After a so-so follow-up appointment with my dentist — my mouth is healing fine, but I can look forward to the pain lasting a while longer — I decided to work it out with a little retail therapy. So I hopped the dirty, smelly train to SoHo.
I don't know if it's just me. Maybe as I grow more mature and less concerned with trends, I care less about what's happening in retail fashion. Or maybe I'm just in a foul mood because I was supposed to be at the beach this week.
Anyway, I walked up and down Broadway, went into all my favorite stores (which weren't as empty as you would think), and didn't see a single thing that caught my eye. By the time I got to Canal Street, I said "Screw it" and went home.
Saw this t-shirt pictured in the thrift store the other day and I'm trying to adopt it as my new mantra for getting through the day.
