Is it too early in the year to be talking about outerwear? Too early to even think about wearing it, but mid-July is the best time to shop-- retailers are desperately clearing out last year's merch at bargain prices before new collections arrive.The Orvis Tent Sale is the perfect example. Although known more for their hunting and fishing gear (yuck!), Orvis also has great fall fashion items in their end of season Tent Sale. Take the TR Leather Coat, for instance. As seen in photos of the late president on horseback, the jacket has a cutaway for comfort and will just get better looking over the years and look even more authentically vintage. Make this your new fall jacket. I'm ordering mine as soon as I finish this post...
