I really don't like where sneaker design has gone in the past few years. While I understand the sneaker collector's passion for the new, the outrageous, the blinged, I don't cre to be a walking billboard for Nike. I know this sounds like a boring style manual, but I want to be noticed for me, not someone's ability to namecheck my outfit.
Enter the new J. Crew broken-in sneaker. The simple combination of canvas and rubber will leave fashion observers scratching their heads. Is it Tretorn? Converse? Adidas? Some new Japanese label that inexplicably costs hundreds of dollars? Nope, just $60. I'll be wearing them all summer.
