New Shop: Housing Works By the Pound

Share

Any of you who know me know how I love Housing Works. Not only are there great buys on vintage and designer fashion, it all goes to a great cause. Housing Works Thrift Shops generate funds for the Housing Works programs that help homeless and formerly homeless HIV+ New Yorkers get their lives together.
I could go on and on about the great stuff I've found at Housing Works -- a Hickey Freeman tuxedo that fits like a glove, Hermes sandals, vintage eyeglasses -- and now I'm sure to find more. Thursday is the grand opening of By the Pound, a new Housing Works shop where everything is weighed and sold at just $3 a pound. You won't find any Prada or Chanel here, but a clever shopper with a good eye will make out in the deal.
