IN VOGUE Needless to say, I read Vogue. Not just for work. There, I said it, I own it.
In defense of editor Anna Wintour, I'm really over all the yadda-yadda of people complaining that Vogue doesn't reflect our current economic conditions, that fashion magazines should be for real women, etc. Can you imagine? The fall fashion issue filled with Forever 21 and Old Navy? This is fantasy, people!
My favorite page in Vogue is Last Look, which is also the last page. In this month's issue, you'll find the Fendi 'Abici' bike ($5900) with detachable case ($975). Leather is cut and sewn by hand (including the GPS case) and the case is a fully-fitted picnic basket. Will I ever own it? Barring a lottery win and a move to a city with a low crime rate, no. Do I still want it? Of course.
