Someone at Brooks Brothers' design department has done seriously madras loco-- and I love it. Their interpretation has large-scale squares in subdued colors that I'll be wearing all the way through the Fall.
As always with such eye-catching prep basics, I offer a word of caution. Don't even think of wearing these dressed-up with a jacket or with other obviously prep items like a pink shirt or Topsiders-- the effect is too Kanye West for my taste. Try them instead with a white button down and penny or tassel loafers.
