SALES & BARGAINS Like most fashion revelations, I found the American Living Classic Fit jean quite by accident-- as I was darting through JC Penney to the men's room, actually. Not only is the fit of these Ralph Lauren-approved dungarees spectacular-- slim and tailored without making me look like an ice cream cone-- they magically shave off 10 pounds, which I'm grateful for after my last weigh-in at the doctor's office.
Right now, all American Living jeans for men are on sale for $19.99, so I picked up two pairs. My advice: buy them an inch smaller in the waist than you're used to and only wash them every 3 months. You'll find they've relaxed and contoured perfectly to your body and acquired a vintage look you just can't fake.
