Dear Jim Quinn, President of Tiffany & Co.,
Tiffany & Co. Eyewear? Like, trendy sunglasses with the Tiffany logo in the $500 range? Really?
See, this is why luxury shoppers don't think of Tiffany & Co. as luxury any more. You can't court luxury and mass-market consumers at the same time. Trying to be all things to all customers isn't just greedy, it's a sure way to fail. Just ask Pierre Cardin, Halston, pre-Tom Ford Gucci or any other forgotten designer. That's why your profits are down.
Think about it before you give the okay on Tiffany handbags, please.
Sincerely,
The Prepster (a former customer)
