American Living by JC Penney

Share

We hate to see old department stores die off without ceremony. Names like B. Altman and Abraham & Strauss used to mean something and now they're buried in the fashion retail boneyard in unmarked graves.

Someone at JC Penney must feel the same way, because their new American Living collection's going to save them from an early grave. Featuring classic designs (i.e. Polo rip-offs) at affordable prices and an ad campaign blitz featuring some of our fave guys from years gone by (hi, Daryl!).

The tartan plaid flatfront shorts seen above (Steven Alan, anyone?) are under $40 and the reversible windbreaker with tartan lining (trés Barracuda) is under $70. We are so going to Jersey City on Saturday! Anyone wanna come with?

  1. American Living is manufactured by Polo.I found this out recently on a blog I can't recall, then actually found a sweater in a random(won't say)goodwill that had an info tag sewn inside the garment that clearly stated it was a Polo garment...
